As per Reuters, Alphabet Inc’s Google has suspended business with Huawei that requires the transfer of hardware, software and technical services however things which are publicly available via open source licensing can be used by Huawei.

This can hamper Huawei next lineup, which is Mate 30, Mate 30 Pro, in future Huawei smartphones will no longer be able to use Google Play Store, Gmail and Chrome services because these services do not come under open source licence and require commercial licensing /agreement.

Google’s move can hamper Huawei sales across globe specially outside china, however current users of Huawei devices will be able to use all the services and download updates via Play Store.

The step by Google came up after Donald Trump move on banning Huawei for doing business with US suppliers without taking an approval from US government. Note that Huawei is the second largest smartphone selling brand beating Apple and is only behind Samsung,

These moves can certainly damage Huawei’s vision of becoming top smartphone selling brand in the world. Now the question is who is actually losing the battle Huawei or the customers. Please share your views in the comment section.
