South Korean giant Samsung unveiled three new smartphones on Wednesday, Samsung S10, S10 Plus, and S10e. All three are powerful phones, powered with Snapdragon 855, all three phones have AMOLED displays, HDR 10+ certificate, Wireless charging 2.0 and wireless power share. S10 and S10+ come with ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor wherein S10e comes with the traditional one (which is more reliable).

Performance: S10 series comes with Snapdragon 855 (2.8 GHz+2.4 GHz+1.7 GHz) for US, LATAM, and China and for some regions (EMEA) such as India with Samsung Exynos 9820 SOC (2.7 Ghz+2.3 GHz+1.9 GHz). SD 855 is based on 7nm technology comes with Adreno 640 GPU wherein Exynos 9820 is based on 8nm technology comes with Mali G76 MP12. All three are powerful phones and deliver great performance.

RAM, Storage and Pricing: Samsung finally made a great move, covered large customers’ segment, S10e starts with $750 (6 GB RAM, 128 GB Storage), S10 starts with $900 (8 GB RAM, 128 GB Storage) and S10 Plus starts with $1000 (8 GB, 128 GB Storage). All phones come with various storage and RAM options. All three support Wi-Fi 802.11 ax, Dolby Atmos for gaming.

Cameras: Samsung S10+ comes with two front or the selfie cameras (12MP f/1.9 + 8MP f/2.2), rest two come with a single one (10 MP f/1.9). Samsung S10+ and S10 have three main cameras (12 MP f/1.5, 12 MP f/2.4, 16 MP f/2.2) wherein S10e has two main cameras (12 MP f/1.5- 2.4, 16 MP f/2.2). Ok if the camera configurations look too difficult to understand, let me tell you all three shall produce great images, obviously, in some scenarios, S10 and S10+ shall produce better images than S10e (because of the third camera).

Battery: Samsung S10+ has 4100 mAh battery wherein S10 and S10e have 3400 and 3100 mAh respectively, so if you are looking for battery centric phone out of these three you should go for S10+, however, all have fast charging as well as wireless charging 2.0 support so the battery should not be an issue.

Display: When it comes to phone displays, hands down Samsung is a leader and all three have AMOLED panels with great pixel density. S10 and S10+ have a better AMOLED panel than S10e with higher pixel density, however S10e also has a very good panel and you will not regret using it. S10+ comes with a 6.4-inch display wherein S10 and S10e come with 6.1 and 5.8 inches respectively. S10 and S10+ come with edge to edge display, wherein S10e has the flat display.

What to choose: When you have three great options then deciding one is a challenge. If you do not have a money constraint and you are comfortable using a 6.4-inch screen go for S10+ because it has everything best and you do not have to compromise at all. S10 is the midway, it has almost everything similar to S10+ but you will have to pay 900 USD so not much different from S10+ (1000 USD). But my pick would be S10e, the value it gives is better than S10 and S10e, you just need to pay 750 USD (or 56000 INR), you will get the same performance as S10/S10+, very good display, very good build quality, more reliable fingerprint sensor, compact design, wireless charging support, very good front, and main cameras, Bluetooth 5.0 and lot more.

Samsung nailed in all the departments, they gave good range to select(S10e to S10+), value for money to best in class selections, did not miss anything and ticks all the departments be it camera, battery, wireless support, display, budget options, build quality, headphone jack, IP68 water, and dust resistance, future proof technologies.

Thanks for reading the article and stay tuned for the next one (Samsung Fold). Cheers 🙂
