Recently there is twitter fight happened between Realme and Redmi, and the fight was regarding better performing phone, the phones are Redmi Note 7 Pro and Realme 3 Pro. Realme CEO compared the Realme 3 Pro with Redmi Note 7 Pro and says “Realme phone is capable of handling games like Fortnite much better when compared to the Xiaomi phone”, so it was a direct comparison between Realme 3 Pro vs Redmi Note 7 Pro. I did my analysis too and figured out which would be the better option.
First of all both the phones would be an excellent performer and shall deliver great performance along with good battery life, both the phones can play high-end games such as PUBG. Now let’s do some in-detail analysis. Realme 3 Pro rumored to come with Snapdragon 710 wherein Redmi Note 3 has SD 675, looking at the numbers it seems SD 710 is better and higher as compared to SD 675, but this is not true. In some cases, Realme should perform better and in some Redmi, these are the pointers:
1- SD 710 is based on 10nm technology wherein SD 675 is 11nm so 710 would be power efficient (lower the better), which should give better battery performance
2- SD 710 has Adreno 616 GPU wherein SD 675 has Adreno 612, so gaming performance will be better in 710 because of the better GPU
3- SD 710 is clocked at 2.2 GHz (2 max cores) wherein SD 675 is clocked at 2.0 GHz (2 max cores) however 710 is based on Kryo 360 CPU which is an older CPU as compared to Kryo 460 which is present in SD 675, so in my opinion 675 should load or launch applications quicker than SD 710, and day to day performance should be better in SD 675
4- SD 710 has X15 LTE modem which is faster than X12 LTE(present in SD 675), so SD 710 can download files quickly and provides better wifi coverage but it will not be very different from SD 675 X12 LTE modem
5- Most of the other things are the same such as 250L Image Signal Processor (ISP), so camera performance should be the same (the difference comes because of the camera lens)
So if you are confused between Realme 3 Pro and Redmi Note 7 Pro because of these chipsets, let me clear, they both shall give almost similar kind of performance still if your preference is gaming go for SD 710 and if your preference is day to day performance such as quick application loading time, go for SD 675. SD 710 is an older processor as compared to SD 675.
“So the conclusion is, these processors are very close in terms of performance and shall provide similar kind of performance, overall you will not regret buying any of these. I will post the detailed comparison between Redmi Note 7 Pro vs Realme 3 Pro.”
