Every year a lot of phones come and go and people talk about new technology, camera, display, but nobody talks about the phone’s radiations. Here I am talking about SAR value. Let’s understand what SAR is.
Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) is a measure of the rate at which the human body absorbs the energy when comes under radio frequency. Countries define their SAR limit such as India and the US has SAR limit of 1.6 W/Kg wherein Germany has a limit of 2.0 W/Kg (Obviously Germany does not accept more radiation, the difference is because of the calculation methods) so a phone cannot be sold in India or the US if it has SAR value more than 1.6 W/Kg.
Radiations also depend on various factors such as tower distance, signal strength etc. SAR value defined for any phone by the company is the highest radiation emission rate. So if your phone has SAR 1.4 W/Kg, it will not emit more than the defined 1.4 W/Kg
So we should not worry if your product has SAR value less then 1.6 W/Kg also as I mentioned earlier a phone cannot be sold if it has SAR value more then 1.6 W/Kg, so enjoy your phone and do not worry much about it.
