Companies create buzz before any launch, companies like Apple, Google, Samsung, LG etc. all create hype before the launch of any product. When it comes to customers, they lot of time believe and get attached to the product even before the launch.

Let’s understand it better, Apple recently released a product iPhone XR. If you see among all devices which Apple launched last year, iPhone XR was the buzz word and created a lot of hype, however among iPhone XS, XS Max and XR, XR was the weakest one (don’t get me wrong, the product is good but out of those three it was the weakest). Apple created hype for the product which they thought would be a hard sell.

Companies such as Samsung create lot of hype for their mid tier phones such as ‘A’ series. You will find lot of advertisements for these products (only focusing on 1 feature of the phone) so why companies actually do it ?

The one-line answer is to show the scarcity of the product. the customer feels that the product will see a demand-supply gap (demand will be much higher than supply). In order to use the experience, the customer tries to pick the product quickly and this helps companies earning more profits.

So whenever you see a product hype, the bell should ring that why a company is pushing so hard, is this product actually worth my money? Wait for sometime and check some reviews before trying the product. We all need to spend wisely. Do not get into the trap of hype.

Please share your thoughts on the same, Thanks for reading 🙂
