Oneplus 6T vs 6. Do you really need Oneplus 6T ? Why 6T

Oneplus on 29th Oct unveiled its new flagship Oneplus 6T. A phone powered by Snapdragon 845, 6 or 8 GB RAM, fast UFS 2.1 Storage (128 or 256 GB). In a nutshell a great phone with some advancement over Oneplus 6 (as claimed by the company, not me)

My question is, do you really need this phone, or does this market need this phone. I understand that the phone is excellent overall and I am not questioning the performance. But why this phone present or exist in the market?

The phone has a front or in Screen fingerprint sensor, however, I feel why should we use this technology at a very early stage. The sensor is slow as compared to the traditional one (the back fingerprint sensor). I don’t see much-improved camera overall as compared to Oneplus 6. Rest all is a marketing gimmick.

Oneplus a customer-centric company, going for the masses and more sales now, which I understand is the important factor in business. However, I feel Oneplus is degrading the importance of its recent flagships. Why release a phone with some improvements or I should say minor improvements, why not just launch a phone with a better camera, processor and advancements.

Companies are chasing number nowadays and just focusing on sales and profits, over the years they all forget about customers, Oneplus 6 was already a great phone, Oneplus is promoting 6T as a flagship and a better phone altogether. I feel except battery nothing is improved, I will still use the old fingerprint over the new one as in screen fingerprint is slow and annoying (I feel that is why Apples and Samsungs of the world are not adopting this).

If I give my feedback, Oneplus 6 is already a great phone, no need for 6T in the market place. If you already have 6 then do not even think about 6T, even if you want to upgrade think about Oneplus 7 and skip this one.
